RIPE Fellowship Privacy and Confidentiality Terms

In order for us to be able to evaluate your application to participate in the RIPE Fellowship Programme, we need you to provide us with certain information.

We will use the contact details you provided to communicate with you about the RIPE Fellowship Programme and the status of your application.

If you are one of the successful candidates, we will use the contact details you provided to:

  • Confirm your registration at the relevant RIPE Meeting
  • Arrange your travel and accommodation
  • Assist in your visa application purposes (if required)
  • Keep you informed about the RIPE Fellowship Programme, including reminders, updates and other information relevant to your participation; and
  • Invite you to and facilitate your participation in online meetings and other activities relevant to the RIPE Fellowship Programme
  • Connect you with a RIPE Fellow Coach

We will also publish your name on the relevant RIPE Meeting’s official website and social media, as well as on the RIPE Fellowship’s official website, in order to provide transparency regarding the RIPE Fellows participating in the RIPE Fellowship Programme and to promote the visibility of the RIPE Fellowship Programme and its activities.

We may also publish your photograph on the relevant RIPE Meeting’s official website and social media, as well as on the RIPE Fellowship’s official website, provided that you have given your consent to such use.

Whether or not you are selected as a RIPE Fellow, and unless you instruct us otherwise, we will retain your contact details in our internal database from the date of your application until the end of the next Call for Fellowship following the Call for Fellowship to which you applied.

The purpose of this retention is to maintain an administrative record of applications to the RIPE Fellowship Programme and to enable us to communicate with applicants and RIPE Fellows, as applicable, regarding matters related to their application or participation in the RIPE Fellowship Programme, including the processing and reimbursement of expense claims.

You may request to have your contact details removed from this internal database at any time by emailing meeting@ripe.net.
